WEll your friend, is immature to take decision and cant handle this situation , why doesnt he consult his superiors.
BEcause when u cant do it, ask ur BOSS for advice, and let ur boss handle the situation and u learn from it..
And as per PMS reply,,,
go technical and dont go emotional ,,, if the harassment occured at home, can it be termed as sexual harassment case, even I dont know 
so better read the rules and find whether in this case the verbal abuse happened in office or home...
and go by rules, bcoz the case is boss harassing receptionist....
so first analyse the case.. because it aslo might be that the BOSS is innocent and RECEIPTIONIST wants DIVORCE so is framing the BOSS by faking the SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
