sexual harassment against Husband... Dear All,
Let me share one of the problems that my friend is facing these days.
The problem:
This is a case of two colleagues in an organization. They joined the organization some 5 years back. One of them was the boss and the other was the receptionist. They fell in love and got married 2 years back.
Everything was going smoothly till there was a complain of sexual harassment filed by receptionist against her boss ( who is infact her husband in personal relationship) . This receptionist came with the complain that this person has abused her verbally which was sexual in nature.
It was a surprising situation for my HR friend. later he came to know that things were not going well in their personal relationship and he also realised that the girl had asked for a divorce from her husband.
Later he also found that the complain of this girl was true. He talked with her husband and came to conclusion that this person was not interested in divorce but her wife was creating situations to force him to go for a divorce.
I do not know much about the divorce and the sexual harassment laws. but what i believe is that since this girl is interested in divorce later she might file a case against her husband for divorce and use this sexual harassment case in reference(Proof).
My friend is quite confused and i am very new to HR field. so i thought to raise this issue to among all you HR professionals.
what would you have done in such a situation? |
