As far as pvt firms are concerned, they're to fix their holidays on their own. However a few mandatory holidays are there: 26th Jan, 15th Aug.
though 25th dec, diwali is not mandate, most pvt org give.
rest of holidays could be planned depending on the manner you wish to give your holidays.
like in my firm, we give 13 holidays but we club and give most holidays during diwali and x'mas so that ppl can tk vacation rather than distributing it. And honestly our staff is happy by our this approach.

With reference to your query,pl .obtain gazette notification of Holidays from the Labour Department of your concerned.Accordingly you have to frame National Holidays which are compulsory and other festival Holidays as per your requirement under Delhi Factories National and other festival Holidays Act Rules.

i have a small doubt if our company is registered in india we have to register the list of holidays. But our company is a tunneling company with a joint venture the hr of other company say that we are located in the same office so we will in the name of jv only. is it right or else as company has established in india we have to register under shops and establishment act
