Sick leave - one day before ganesh chaturthi - company is asking for a medical certificate
I have one query regarding sick leave. one in my reference had availed sick leave for 1 day the day prior to his leave was ganesh chaturthi i.e 9th sep 2021 & the day post his leave day was weekly off i.e sunday 12th sep 21. so now the company is asking for a medical certificate. as per my experience in hr & knowledge if an employee has availed of sick leave for more than 2 days then and then only he/she should submit the medical certificate to the company. here the employee had availed sl only for 1 day. should the employee submit the medical certificate? also the company is stating that weekly off i.e sunday will now also be counted/considered as sick leave sl. the company is into manufacturing & employee is with the company for more than 30 years as of now. not a fresher. the employee is working as production supervisor. can anyone mention/ help me with the exact rule & clauses as per labor laws.
Recovery of excess availed casual cum sick leave after leaving the organisation on gross monthly salary
Hello employees are entitle for 15 days casual cum sick leave in a calendar year however if any employee availed the entire leave in first 2 months of calendar year & left the organisation then in that case which formula will be appropriate from the following while doing the full & final settlement 1 adjust the excess availed leave from his earned leave i.e. privilege leave or 2 after considering his prorata leave eligibility remaining excess availed leave need to considered as a lop which can be deducted on monthly gross salary while doing the full & final settlement. seek your views. regards avinash
Can the sick leave be accumulated please

Sick leave in probation period
Hi all i am a hr executive in a start up where in we still dont have leave policy in place. please help me & give me information on payment for sick leave availed by the employee during probation period. is there any legal obligation for the company to reimburse the medical expenses. please let me know at the earliest.in this case the reason of sick leave is not genuine awaiting your responses at the earliest. thanks a lot roopa

I have crated leave policy for my company as per shop and establishment act for different state and availed 18 privilege leave and carry forword of 45 no s of leave per year. my boss want to make it 21 days privilege leave and carry forword leaves of 15 no s but i couldn t get any supportive for this statement. casual leave and sick leave was removed by my boss and she wants to avail only privilege leave to employee. now she asked me to find out way out i.e. justification for her statement. anyone can help me.
Sick leave after long weekend leaves: leave calculation
Hi all i am aware of the fact that when an employee takes a long leave on the weekends say from friday to monday then the inbetween saturday and sunday is considered as leave. again it depends from one company to another as per their orders if they consider or not. as far as my company is concerned we do consider the inbetween sat and sun as offs and the leave number is deducted. but i m stuck on these circumstances if sat and sun will be considered as leaves or not: 1. what if an employee takes an off on friday cl and applies for sick leave on monday morning? if reason being genuine or not 2. sick leaves from friday to monday?
