hello sir,
i am a MBA fresher looking for jobs. few days back i had given an interview for a consultancy for their entry level position. i had been selected by them but they are asking for an amount of Rs. 12000 for giving me training for a period of 2 months. they told that after i will be given the job offer letter. my question is should i pay the money to the consultancy for my training or look for jobs at some other place?

Dear Vicky.
If u were aware about said paid training shedule after interview then they are ok.
But no company,no consultancy charge any amount for training,as they are hiring an employee to take work and pay remuneration on behalf of ur work assigned according to package.
You should not pay any amount to them
You may try for other jobs..

sir,
they said that they won't be paying me anything during the training period. they also said that after getting the job( i.e. after training is over) there is no fixed salary and the whole salary will be performance based.

Vicky,
Just to inform you, even the best of consultancy dont charge you for training. So that thing don't arise, they're fooling you.
They're taking training expense + not paying you in training tenure (not really the way it works)
The max training that a consultancy provides is portal access... and that too the Naukri/Monster person does it free of cost for the consultancy.
Any consultancy gives you Fixed + Performance based Incentives. Coz basic fixed salary is necessary and right to claim...
As suggested pls dnt go further with this option and look for other jobs..
All the best :)
