Gratuity-employer liability-query
Hi had a query with regards to gratuity application. we are a organisation of 25 and has been into existence since 2005. we are taking up gratuity benefit for our employees and was trying to calculate the of basic which should be considered monthly as gratuity. in the whole process realised that if an employee completes 5 years and has a yearly increment of min 1520 on his salary how is the liability of employer justified when we consider the 4.81 of gratuity followed by companies generally and the gratuity payment post 5 years will be based on last drawn basic salary. please clarify. raj

Ask my employer for previous monthly salary certificates or monthly salary slips?
I am currently employed in a small private dental clinic. i receive my monthly salary partly by cheque and partly by cash rs. 15000 by cheque and rs. 7000 by cash. i am in need to show my existing employment records to a third party. 1. should i ask my employer for previous monthly salary certificates or monthly salary slips? what is the difference between two ? 2. what is consolidated salary ? my salary is directly handed to me not transferred to bank account or anything like that and my boss does not give me any salary breakage like allowances incentives etc and there are no tax deductions on my salary oes that mean i receive consolidated salary ? if yes what is the format for consolidated salary certificates or consolidated salary slips?

Salary reduction by the employer,is it legal...
Dear friends we are working in a limited company wherein employer has reduced our monthly gross pay by 20 and 25 for top management we just want to know whether an employer has a right to reduce the salary of employeeis it legal. in total 19 people were also fired in the month of april 2015 reducing our total employee strength to 85. it has been more than 5 years i had been working n this company and i am skeptic if i leave the company they would pay the gratuity on the reduced monthly amount which again would be a loss for me. when i will appear for the interview i will have to put up the reduced monthly salary slip which would turn out to be a loss for me again. the reduced amount of 20 is no where reflective in the salary slipwhat could be the repercussion. friends please suggest a way out as the employer has gone completely adamant .
