Dear Mr. Chandra,
HR Generalist is mostly involved in every aspect viz., Recruitments (Talent Aquisition), Employee Engagement, T&D, PMS. Payroll, Statutory requirment.etc. While HR operations focuses mainly on over all development of the organization like Job detailing, Quality at work, Project Management, Six Sigma etc.
It's your term to understand that you have to learn from the basics to outshine. Good Luck!

But is it preferable to take training in Generalist area. I mean there are so many institutes providing training in various HR activities like Core HR, Payroll, etc. Please let me know as I'm also one looking for a job change into generalist profile(currently working as a recruiter).
