Hr's role - bad bosses
i read the presentation that ramkumar provided for those who have not read it i have reattached it to this post and what the presentation said is completely right that employees are not formally allowed to talk about bad bosses. this is really true and in so many topics on citehr i am finding it impossible to find a topic with the subject of bad bosses. we all know that bad bosses exist but i think those of us in hr have a bigger responsibility in doing something about it. what should hrs role be? and firstly i think we should formally in our processes start with the recognition that bad bosses exist. until we do this hr will be not be dealing with the no. 1 issue for employees ie the boss.
Role of your bosses in your career/dealing with bosses
Dear friends day before yestrday i have gone through one post in our cite hr section ..i found emp was in prob coz of his boss...boss was not communicating well abt his performnace to their top managment ..so lets start a healthy discussion abt bosses role in your carrer..wat do u think how much importance of bosses role in your career i think advancing your career can almost be impossible if your boss isn t onboard to help u...sometimes the boss does get in the way for various reasons such as a competitive personality fear of talented subordinates political bias poor management and bad listening skills if a employee performing well but due to bosses prob.how a emplyee can evaluated?? and it can affect the emp career my worries is that how to handle to these bosses if they are not communicating abt ur performnace with your top managment coz of some fearlaging of knowldge so how to build the bosses to meet your requirement as well as organizational growth.... anyway wat do you think ??
Working with hr lady boss
Hi people i am just wondering how you people finding working with a hr lady boss ? we sure know every one is not same and behaviors of an individual that makes them different. in my hr career i had 4 male bosses and 2 lady bosses current superior is a lady. i had the most enjoyable moments working with my male bosses . not only that they can handle themself very well but the guidance and coaching that they provide is superb. one male boss was a womaniser but he did not make it apparent at work. i encountered 2 worst experience in my whole career. lady bosses : 1. they lose their head to frequently 2. they change their mind every now and then 3. they hav got head and mood swings 4. they show their anger to you 5. less appreciation shown 6. egoistic 7. fussy 8. clumsy at times along the way in my career i look up into many managers and bosses and hope one day i could be there to achieve their positions. that is a determination but i continuously remind myself that i will never behave like them. behaviour and your attitude that you mirror to the rest is very important as each manager fail to realise one of their associates are looking at them for inspiration and motivation. it is very dissapointing as we are speaking of human resources development but the essence of it is not well absorbed even by the person who is initiating it . again i would like to stress that not everyone is same but mostly that i have encountered with my lady bosses is unquestionable. they are complete freak and fail to behave like a professional working adult. kindly share your experience with lady boss if you have the same opinion with me . thank you and have a nice day
Practical case study...............need help
Dear friends this is a practical case study which is happening with me.. i would like to take your views on following issues. please give me your suggestion what i have to do ??/ right know my boss offered me a new role of trainer in which i have to do traveling all over india to give the level 1 training of the employees as currently i am handling payroll and hr admin management in the organization but i am not quite satisfied about my profile because of lack of learning in the same as my main areas of interest are recruitment and performance management. because of some family issue i have to reject there proposals in that case they clearly conveyed me they will not promote me further in monetary terms or in individuals growth wise. in a very rude language my boss bosss has conveyed this message to me as my bosses are politically corrupt bosses; they dont want my growth because of their own insecurities. they have just eye washed our big boss just misusing him. could you please advise what steps i have to take in this case. i am also looking for opportunities but they are not coming because of my bad time the boss is very bad big boss is unable to understand me he only hears them only. please advice i am in trouble. best regards meenu
