Hello All,
If we engage a worker on his week off day, whether we will have to pay him overtime for that day or c-off or both?
Another question is if we run the factory or say engage some workers in the manufacturing process on National holidays, then whether we will have to take permission from the appropriate Govt. authority to carry out the process or we can just pay those workers with triple the rate of overtime for that day?
thanx with regards,
Parag

where you require a worker to work on a weekly off, you can grant him holiday within three days follwing the said weekly off and you need not pay O.T. So is the case with National Holidays. In either case, you need to inform the Inspector of Factories and obtain his permission.

Dear Sh. Kumar,
In my viewpoint if a workman is engaged for work during his off or holiday he should be compensated by payment of overtime including compansatory off.Is it true ur valuable comments invited.
