Hi
This is Dichloro.I have very frequently heard that manufacturing sector gives wider scope for hr related activities than services sector as the former gives a more solid and stable progression to your career. You get ample amount of thing to learn at a wider scale compared to service sector firms. Is it true?(Here let me be clear that i respect the dignity of everyones labour and not underestimating any sector importance to the gdp). What your experience on it.Only sensible replies please!

hi,
It is true that experience in manufacturing counts its also true that the working of the HR department in manufacturing sectors differs from that of service sector. The working of hr dept in manufacturing sector is challenging because of the rustic workforce. We find people from different walks of the society with differing mind set and attitude. Addressing all the needs(Employees and employers) and maintaining the equilibrium is the key to the sucess of HR department.
The work of Hr dept largely depends on the ability to be creative and effectiveness in persuading the masses.Designing policies and maintaining discipline leaving no room for conflicts, addressing individual problems(Work and Personal) are some of the important task.

It is true, moreover the compliance is more in Manufacturing then in Service sector as usually in service sector all these are outsourced.

Hi,
I am Manoj, When you exploring your career field there are lot areas to improve ourself in service sector but in manufacturing sector you will get face to face experience in every area. Manufacturing industry having variety of peoples from workers to top management it means you will get experience from ground level to high competent level.
In service sector, there are limitations to work & lot routine works.
