Default Looking for the right person !!

Hi All,
Am a newly joined member to this site. I need some guidance from the HR gurus here.
I am a consultant based in pune and am hunting for people with java profiles having more than 3-4yrs of experience. I have tried putting many advertisements on naukri as well as monster, but all in vain. Is there any reasonable way of hunting.
Please guide.
Regards,

Look out from internal references, fix a remuneration percentage..
most of the time referene programs help you fetch the people at the right time....poach from the competitors, go for headhunting.......

Sari. She being a consultant, Internal referral cannot be applicable to her. The internal referral programme will work well in Companies.

Supriya Why dont you try having a tie up with one other consultancy who might be having a huge database of people? If you are interested I can refer one of my friend too.

This is one other suggestion.

Sorry supriya..& Raghav you are right........( ignored the fact she is consultant)

Go for kiosk in big malls may be in the weekends..we did the same when i was wokring as a consultant.......we placed kiosk in the malls specially in the weekends......it did really work, where ther is a huge crowd..promote thru a brochure....

Mass mailing.... to all the applicants in the portals

Try out references in your social & professional network, there is one site www.joso.com, free postings and resumes...send your requirement to all the people in the IT category.

If the requirement is huge, then go for a jobfair, let all your clients participate, give a paper ad, conduct it at your consultancy....

BUT THIS IS FEASIBLE ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE A HUGE REQUIREMENT AND YOUR BUDGET........
