SCMLD,Pune is another initiative in the field of management education by Prof. M. S. Pillai, Former Director of SCMHRD, Pune after his sepration.The institute was incepted in july 2005. It offers PGDM program in Marketing, HRM,Finance,IT & Systems and Manufacturing & Operations Management.

SCMLD owes its origin to the emotional energy & spirit and the physical, financial & material initiatives initially of 152 and now more than 1000 former students of a teacher, for him to carry on with the work which helped them stand out being continuous learners, adaptive, genuine, responsible, dedicated, proactive, capable and exemplary. Therefore it is dedicated to this spirit and relationship which outweighs all material gains so that it emerges as a constant source of pride and satisfaction to all those involved. It is an example of inspirational leadership. And it should emerge as an inspiration to others. Therefore, setting high standards and achieving distinction are its avowed goals. Correction ...July 2004 and the thought process had started in May'04..

This is the only institute in Asia may probably be first in the world which has been backed by Alumni of SCMHRD who their personal success in Corporate World to Prof M S Pillai who was founder- Director of SCMHRD..n have commited to him both Financially & otherwise to start this institute..

Am sure the students from this SCMLD would do well under Prof M S Pillai..who makes sure the students go through grind & rigorous schedule to make them better Managers!!

Thanks for correcting, this institute was incepted in July 2004. This institute is an outcome of the values prof. pillai has inculcated in his students.

Its true the students go through different academic as well non-academic activities for 14-15 hours per day. In Prof. Pillai's words" We have created this path for you, its upto you to go through this path or not; but we will not give you any chance to escape from it"
The activities here at SCMLD are designed such that they lead to holistic development of individuals.
These processes helps one to realise his own potential and have belief in oneself.
