We have contacted the ESIC department for same, they told us not to file any retuns now onwards.

Dear All

I would like to inform you that , ESIC Social Security Officer of your area, you need not to file hard copies of half yearly returns, since it is generated automatically and can be verified by the ESIC officials using "VIEW RC" link in ESIC website.

The ESIC half yearly returns have been made online. There is not any requisition for the employers to submit the ESIC return in the branch office. Where as there were updates for the letter dated 25 Apr- 2012 of Ref No: G-32/11/6/31/2012/DIR-ICT/Misc states that the Contribution Period Ending March 2014 also employers are not required to submit the hard or soft copies of Return of Contributions. It is clarified that under no circumstances the employers are to be asked to submit hard copies of RCs for CPE March 2012. However, from October 2011 onwards no employer was allowed by any RO/SRO/DO to file monthly contribution through manual challans.

As per ESIC notification any vendor (employer) holding an ESIC Code or sub code have to submit the self certification by uploading a CA certificate if the IP (employee) strength is more than forty in that period and submit a copy of the acknowledgement to the principal employer to justify the completion of required compliance.

Any vendor (employer) whose employee (IP) strength is less than forty, employer is required to generate online Return from their respective portal.
