plz suggest me

hi all,

i am pursuing MBA(HR) n currently i'm in my 3rd Sem. i want to be doubly sure regarding my placement.... so i am planning to work it out through evry medium...

i hav got the list of consultants in delhi n im planning to go to most of them... plz suggest me that wat is the best time to go to the consultants as right now im in my 3rd sem. if i dnt go to them in this month i.e. october than i can go only in January, next year since i will be having mu xams in nov n dec

so plz suggest me that whether i shd go to them right now or wait till jan n wat is the time of the year when gud companies go for recruitment through consultants.

jayavel here. I am a MBA student persuing MBA (3 rd semester) and as same as you feared of gettin placement. I have planned to go for the consulatant services in the fourth semester so that i will be sure i will be out of campus with the permission of the concerned authortities in the campus.
Make sure that the authorities in ur campus allow you to go for job while studyin and apply for the consultants since the consultants may get you the preferred job within two months you apply for the job. Can contact me for further counselling

Besides approaching the consultants ...would suggest that you prepare yourself well or the placements by learning the skills which are demand in your respective cities...find out the need ...acquire them & fulfil the same!! of course discover your passion..your strong areas..

hi jayavel,

in my institute, the scenario is different as my institute is for day scholars n from wat i make out frm ur post, ur institute requires u people to stay in their hostel till u complete ur MBA. Right?

so in my case i dnt hav to ask for the permission of authorities...

so wat do u think... shd i go to the consultants now or not...

hey reena...y r u worried abt placements

dont colleges hav tie ups for placements?

and ..... i dunno..im jus commenting.. but if u think the time is right for u to go for consultants, then go ahead....ther is no harm,
probably u cld wait for month or so. hope citehr members are able to guide u better

Hi reena

yes. my institute is a residential B-School.

But then, they allow us in the fourth semester to go for interview out and we can join the job by february itself inspite of the exams in april.

Skill sets in demand do differ from city to city...one way to check the same is to read the appointments or wanted advts of different parts of India...

Hmm...whether consultants or wait till Jan?....i guess thatz your call ..nevertheless it does no harm to meet the consultants..as well...

even, v r allowed to join the job frm jan itself inspite of the xamz in may... but for that u need to land urself a gud job... n thats y as of now i am vry much tense regarding placement
