Hi Pulkit
Yes there are compliance based on the brands. Those compliance is not by law but it is been framed out by the Customers.
For Example
If you look into Garment Manufacturing Industry there are many buyers. Walmart is one of the major customer. They have their own compliance. If any company need to get order from WalMart then those companies should follow their compliance. They have their owncompliance auditors. They will come for audit the firm regarding those compliance. Once again those compliance benefits employees. Working Condition, Other benefits for employees.
I hope now you got some idea about that.

Dear Pulkit
I agreed above statement of Mr.Jeevarathnam because some particular buyer like in textile industry Walmart. Gap, Espirate, AEO, Kohl's they have formed their own code of conducts to execute their principles in the facility,
compliance we can categorized into two parts
1.Based on Existing Labour Laws in the organisation, each and every organisation should follow the rules and regulations according the laws
2.Based on Buyers(Brands) : it's very important tool for business,These rules, Regulations , Code of conducts made by the Customer,so most of the organization will work based on buyers requirement
With Thanks and Regards
