Dear All,
I have a query regarding the Total Earnings in pay slip..
The offered CTC is Rs. 15,120/- per month and it is been displayed Rs. 14,436/- Per month. Is it correct???
When the reason asked, the reply from the manager was:
Your Total CTC is 15,120/- which as per your salary statement, Total Earnings – Rs. 14,436/- + Total Benefits – Rs.684/-(PF) comes down to your CTS of Rs. 15,120/-.
But the complete figure of 15,120 is not displayed in pay slip instead 14,436 is mentioned. Which i feel is not a correct process...
Kindly help.
Regards,
Asna Siddiqui.

Dear Asna,
There is nothing wrong with your pay slip. The employers contribution to PF has not been mentioned on the earnings side of the PF. Most employers don't mention that since that is not paid to you and forms part of the benefits and not part of salary.

Dear Asna,
Don't worry about when you have to move to a new company. If you have good quality experience the payslip will not decide the raise you are looking for. You should concentrate on building your competency's so that you will get offers which match or exceed your expectation.
Also you will always have a copy of your offer letter or increment letter which will have your CTC mentioned.
I assume you have recently joined this organization. Concentrate on your job and keep an eye on the amount transferred to you at the end of the month. Don't start thinking about what will happen at the time of leaving just yet.

Hai Asna,
Normally there will be deductions in the monthly CTC like TDS,(If you are earning taxable range of salary)Professional Tax of Rs 150 or 200 and PF.All these will be reflected in your Payslip.Monthly gross should reflect as 15210 and Monthly Net pay after deductions should be Rs 14436 in your case.

Dear Asna,
Nothing is wrong with your salary, the other benefits like Employer sh. of EPF,ESI, LTA, Medical & other annual benefits are not mentioned in the salary slip, but the employer is paying you all these.
These are cost to company for an employee, & all employer sh. contributions & annual benefits are mentioned in your offer letter or increment letter.
