Hi i m a new member here and am currently the recruitment & training manager of a sales & distribution company. one of the projects i am working on this year is the development of competencybased recruitment training & performance evaluation model that we can implement in the company by 2006. i was wondering if you could share some ideas with me as regards to: competency profiling / making a competency grid retail sales competency based qualifying exams for retail sales people competency based interview guides / questionnaires for retail sales competency based performance appraisal forms thank you in advance for your assistance. i would greatly appreciate any and all inputs. :d hoping that some day soon i would also be able to be of some assistance to you.

Dear all my question is related to competency models. as per my knowledge there are eight competency models/frameworks: 1. organizational competency based competency model 2. commitment & competence based competency model 3. 5level competency model 4. job based competency model 5. generic & specific competency model 6. managerial behavioral & functional competency based model 7. organizational goal linked competency model 8. technical & behavioral competency model for nonmanagerial staff can anyone help me comparing and contrasting all the above models and recommend which model is best suited to be used as framework for competency identification/competency profiling for management staff for an it company and why? i am looking forward for your response as i am in mid of completing my assignment for the same and need your help now. regards
