All employers of covered establishments under EPF can now file Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) from April 2012 and can dispense with filing physical returns in Form 5, 10, 12A, 3A, and 6A.
Exempted establishments need not also file returns in Forms 3PS, 4PS, 5PS, 6PS, 7PS and 8PS.
A copy of notification by EPFO is attached for information of all organisations and must take a note to the action required by the establishments to start with the new system.
Notification appeared in Hindustan Times, dated 6th April, 2012

Dea Sir,
As per the notification i have done the installation of software and updation of data therin.I have also took challan from this and 5 & 10 too.But i still could not understand that by which way this ECR are connected with PF Website.How can it be online like ESIC?
Please guideme upon this sir,

Dear Mangesh,
Download the 'E-Return Tool for Employer' program from the EPF website. Upload the data for your establishment & generate the ECR Return Form in txt format. Then upload the txt file on website under E-sewa link.
Challan can be generated then online like ESIC.

Dear Mangesh,
Have you registered yourestablishment with EPFO for ECR, as specified in the notification, which reads as under?
"Employers/Authorized Signatory are required to register their establishment on EPFO website EPFO for their user ID and Password with effect from 20th March, 2012 for filing the Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) for wage month of March 2012 (payable in April 2012) onward."
