Wearing a business suit enhances ones image whether we like it or not. Most of us would not like to attend training programmes conducted by trainers who are not dressed appropriately. First impressions do count and at first glance if we do not find the trainer impressive his training may not create an impact inspite of having a strong content.

Hi Rajiv,
Thanks for a well written article. Your example of Gandhiji is very appropriate for the topic. One thing came to my mind, if you are influenced by Gandhiji why you given the subject as "Gandhi would have failed as a Trainer". As a trainer I agree with you the clothes creates an impression, but no one can be of Gandhiji's stature and conviction who can emulate him.
Cheers!!!
