As per ESIC rounded off rule the fractional part would be converted to nearest rupee. But I found one problem with online ESIC software calculation i.e.
ESIC wages amount= Rs. 1086/- and 1.75% of this amount would be Rs.19.005/-
a) In ESIC Online it is calculated Rs.19/- as per rule it should be Rs.20/?
Kindly comment.

Dear Shravan,
System is always correct..!! It takes rounded off figure 20, when the figure is 19.5 or above the value of 19.5. If the figure value is below the 19.5 then it automatically takes as 19 only. In your case the value 19.005 is very low to satisfy the above condition that is why it took the round figure 19.
I think your doubt is clear now...!!!!!!

Sorry for going through your thread very late. You have to round off your value to "next" rupees and not nearest rupees. There is is a formula in excel to do this!
