Dear all,
I have some confusion regarding the Provident Fund, as we know 12% of basic is been taken for PF and the contributions is 13.61% (employer) 12% (employee)side, so what amount is been kept with PF and what amount we will get if we withdraw? Is it double amount we will get?
Kindly help me out to understand.

Hi,
Firstly an employee needs to have a PF Code which may be mentioned on his salary slip/pay slip, secondly if he has not filled any PF form he has to first enquire and ask if he has been alloted the PF No. or not, If yes he can even collect the PF WITHDRAWAL FORM from EPFO office and fill it and give it to the previous emplyee. But if he is joining somewhere else then his pf has to be transfered from his previous employer to the new employer, and for transfering, the new employer helps in doing the same,
Pls Note: to withdraw or transfer the pf amount, an employee must be aware about his pf number.
