Dear Seniors & Colleagues,
In most of the companies Diploma / Graduate - Engineers are recruited at Fresher level as Diploma Engineer Trainee / Graduate Engineer Traineee for around 01 year.
My question is what is your company practice / policy after successful completion of this 01 year Training Period theses trainees are absorbed as Confirmed employee or taken as Probationer?
Thanks in advance......

Dear Prashant,
Usually the companies confirm the GETs after the completion of their 1 year training period..
They are confirmed as Engineer / Sr. Engineer without any probation period depending on the company's hiring / confirmation policy...
Some companies also have a policy of 6 months probation period after the successful completion of the training period.

I have been working in a reputed MNC as Management Trainee for more than one year. Now when I reached the time of confirmation they are now asking me to take a transfer outside my state if I want to take confirmation or more precisely,if i want to continue.I made a little research and came to know that no single MT in this organization had been confirmed since 2005 when they strated to take MTs in different states.Even my fellow MTs has been removed by the company in the ground of low performance within their probation.
My question is is this legal? As we don't have any prescribed benchmark (nothing has been mentioned in our policy manual)for confirmation norms, our faith can be decided by the management ???
