Clubbing of casual leaves and holidays-- please help
Dear members i am into a complete confusion please help me in the below scenario: one of the employee of my company wants to take casual leave on 22nd monday and 23rd tuesday oct 2012. and we have week off on saturday and saturday. on 24th oct 2012 its dusshera so its a holiday on that day. now the employee will remain absent from the work from saturday to wednesday and will resume duties after dusherra holiday i.e. on thursday 25th oct 2012 so now i am confused if dusshera holiday will also be counted into casual leave??? is the holiday getting clubbed with the casual leaves and week offs?? please help on this as i need to clarify this thing to the all the employees as well. thanks in advance harpreet kaur
About deduction from salary
Dear seniors let confirm me the solution of some of my query. 1. one of our employee taken leave from 3rd nov2012 to 12th nov2012. and our factory will closed from 13th nov2012 to 15th nov2012 on ocassion of diwali. he joined us on 16th nove2012. can his leave counted till 15th nov2012 or 12th nov2012. basu
Gratuity section 2a (240days) denied - employed for 5 days in a week?
Hi i worked for a wealth advisory firm as a financial analyst from 16th april 2012 till 24th feb 2017. i worked for more than 4 yrs and 240 days without any breaks in employment. they are denying to pay me gratuity saying 240 days rule is applicable for people under mines below ground and for those who are not continuously employed for the 5th year and i was fully employed for 5 days in a week with them since 16th april 2012. so i want to know that is my company right or can i raise a dispute against them? regards
Does a 5 day work week reduce productivity?
Asking all hr veterans here. what s been your experience in a practical sense? there is a lot of research available and a lot of material can be read on google. however my question is how has it turned out for people who deal with it day in and day out. even more interesting would be the perspective of people who have worked both 5 and 6 day week settings.

Hi to all would request you to kindly clarify the week off eligibility criteria in bpo sector. example: 1. suppose i worked for 2 daysmon & tue in a week am i eligible for week off? for that particular week. 2. if an employee is taking leaves for 15 days in between week off is eligible? 3. can we avail 4 week off at a time? please clarify.. regards rupesh.
