Here in my case I am Working in Realty Co. So for short term Co. Has provided me accomodation in Munbai But In my Salary slip HRA is also mentioned..
If in Case i am applying for new job then how should I Demand for accomodation ?
Worryfactor is that HRA is mentioned in My Salary Slip & accomodation is alos provided..
When i'll aplly in other co. for New job then how shall i show that i am getting accomodation from my previous employer??
Kindly guide on the same...

Dear Sangani,
You have put forth the facts and ask for the CTC what you are expecting, if they are ok with that you will accept or else say thanks.
When you are giving the facts & you are confident of your employability why you are worried, you will present the facts, the HRA and other components are in your pay slip as far as the accomodation is concerned if you don't have any proof tell them and if they want they will enquire and conclude.
You should be good at negotiating in meeting your expectations.

What do you means by HRA (HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE)? Well the first thing is that you need to understand why you are not getting HRA in your salary?

Also the mandatory information relative to Income Tax + HRA you must go thru this House Rent Allowance (HRA) taxability and working/calculation of taxable HRA
About new job and your reply to your future employer, once you will get the understanding on your HRA and why you are not getting this in your salary, there would no question remain…

yes i dont have any proof but they can verify from my current employer if in case i am applying for new job..
Also i can Negotiate bec it is fact..

Hi you have two statements as highlighted above. please explain...
Second, you are getting HRA in your salary or you just found it mentioned in your salary slip.
Third, what I intended to say is whether an employer can provide accommodation to an employee from their end or can provide the HRA (amount) in his/her salary.
You found HRA mentioned in your salary slip but also you have accommodated by them, implies that you are not getting HRA amount in actually but as its a part of your CTC, will definitely be mentioned in your salary slip.
the question about proof of accommodation to your future employer whether you are accommodating by your employer or not, you can ask for this to your present employer while leaving this organization. They can give you this in your relieving letter. There are many employers who provide salary and other details in relieving letter to their employees if they wants.

Yes correct !!
That is what I am Saying actually,HRA is the part of CTC which is mentioned in Slip and also i am Getting Accomodation apat.

In some companies, HRA & free accommodation are provided. Esp. in Construction companies, both the facilities are extended. Pon

Hi,
Your worry looks to be whether next employer will give you FREE accommodation or not, so that you do not have to spend a large amount per month as rent. HRA in pay package (in pay slip) generally is not more than Rs.800/- p.m due to tax laws.
it is my personal feeling that we invite unwanted `fear` by keeping such questions in our mind & detract ourselves from preparations. A performer does not have to worry about facilities, employer offers `the best` if employee has `proven BEST track record`. We need to be more concerned about our own skills and competencies and get any thing we `wish` against these proven skills & competencies. If this is true with you, even small scale employer will offer you large accommodation and if it is not the biggest company will not provide smallest accommodation.

In General Paying HRA while giving Accomodation is governed by Corporate Policy. For eg., Incentive is given for Posting in remotely located Projects and in some cases for limited Period Accomodation is provided in Guest House while HRA is also paid. All these are Governed by Corporate Policy.
So my suggestion would be that you get to know the Corporate Policy on such issues for getting reasoned out.
As far as CTC in future employement is concerned, put up your demand the way you want, if you are worth, the Company would find its way to accomodate you else it would be otherwise.
