As per my knowledge it is Rs 25,000/- and not Rs 12,500/-
Just recently I had been to Nigeria. While returning back to India and before landing at Bangalore Airport, airlines had given us one form to fill. In the form the value mentioned was Rs 25,000/- This amount includes all sort of articles like liquor, tobacco, electronic goods etc.
