Dear Friends,
Hope I find you all in good faith and health. Right now I am looking for your valuable help in framing and putting a celebration policy in place.
I think The policy would be framed around following points.
Purpose of celebration of event in organization (Why we promote celebration)
Identification of events,
1. Unit level
2. Department level
3. Organizational level
Permissible Activities and Events during celebration.
i.e. quiz, painting, debut etc.
Time of Celebration
As lunch time, evening, after office time, Night etc.
Scope of participation
1. Employee,
2. Family
3. Friends
Sanctioning of Budget (Per capita expenditure limit) With over all limit.
Proposing/recommending/Sanctioning/Approving Authorities for celebration and budget.
I would be grateful if someone can share their corporate celebration policy with me.

Hi Arvind,

U have to mention the name of the celebration and accordingly the preparations. In NTPC on 15th Aug. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION excellent house keeping , decoration with flowers, and flower pots etc. is done. The Head of the Business Unit at Projects/Stations inpects the guard of honour is given by the CISF; there after parade by school children takes place with school band; then he unfurls the National Flag; National Anthem is sung by all with live music; next he delivers a speech mentioning about the achievements , next plans, etc etc. of the NTPC and the Project/Station;sweet distribution takes place; sport event is held and finally departure of the Head from the spot. There is no laid down policy as such for the celebration. However, for the Vigilance Awareness Week a detailed circular is issued by the Corporate Office indicating what activities to be done. The activities must suit the occasion- this should be the norm. The points you have mentioned are all relevant and applicable.

regards,

yours truly,

Dear Mr. Kumar,
It is really nice to know that you are currently with NTPC since I also have few warm memories with me of NTPC Unchahaar plant. It is another pleasure that by incident I am at your Nibourhood i.e. GAIL Training Institute Film City NOIDA.
Mr. Kumar I was looking for a way to Instituionalize and promote the event celebration like any other system i.e. Employee Group Tourism, Recruitment, promotion etc. Just willing to frame some do & don'ts to provide enough space to work groups, departments and unit to identify and celebrate events along with predecided control.
I thank you from my heart for providing me your humble support in the direction. I also express my gratitude toward Mr. Sardhar.
Have a nice day ahead.
