Holiday list for year 2008
Hi i have to prepare the paid holiday list for 2008. until this year we had been giving 4 public holidays and 4 festival holidays. now i have query is their any statutory norm on the minimum and maximum holidays to be given? which is the act that describes the norms?
"holiday allowance is the payable maximum up to inr 50,000 spread over 12 months" - whether this amount is claimable?
Dear all i have some doubts regarding holiday allowance. in my ctc they didn t mention any holiday allowance package. but in annexure they mentioned as "holiday allowance is the payable maximum up to inr 50000 spread over 12 months." kindly clarify whether this amount is claimable??? thanks in anticipation.

Dear all; 1. pfa proposed holiday list 2019 with central notification 2. state government notification of respective state has not yet upload on state government websites. but it will not affect much on holiday list. 3. please customized as per your company s requirement. 4. tried to covered maximum states including metros and nonmetros. note 1. this year maximum public holidays are on week off. 2. kept 2 days extra for central / state election or natural calamities / flood / bandh date to be decided on actual date. if you find any typographic error or mistake kindly do write to me. regards tejas karhadkar head hr mumbai

Hi friends is amdedkar jayandhi a mandatory holiday? if no no need to mention in our holiday list. i asked our top management regarding this they told me that we can include this as holiday in our list but no need to give this day as holiday to our employees and as per the labour law this holiday we should mention in our holiday list. i want to know that anything mentioned regarding this in our labour law. suppose we are not mentioning in our holiday list is there any problem. kindly give your valuable opinion regarding this. thanks & regards jagan
