How to deal with talents who have an unbeatable problem with coming on-time? how to make them come office on time?
Hi all i am working in an it company. my company strength is 30 we have 78 guys who are very important to the team. those guys come late to work almost every single day. when i ask them all they are saying is that they were stuck in traffic got up too late had some personal work. this is the scenario for the last 34 months. it is not that these guys are working late after office hours and then coming office late the next day. i think they are purposely coming late & giving some reasons. i think their late coming is just disrespectful to other colleagues. and the new joiners/ freshers have also started coming late by seeing seniors coming late to office. our office timings are from 10 am to 7 pm. we don t have any late coming policy in office. and so i think people are taking the liberty of that. so the question is: how to deal with talents who have an unbeatable problem with coming ontime? how to make them come office on time & in a very assertive way. please provide some suggestions or policies which i can apply in my office.
Late coming policy
Hiye can anyone guide me on coming " policy as in my office staff is coming late we are already considering the following but what are your suggestions or if anyone can send policy on late coming please. our office timings are 930hrs to 1800hrs we have given grace period of 3 time late coming uptill 10 00hrs any one coming late after 10 am is marked half day any one coming late i.e. after 930 hrs for more than 3 times are marked half day one short leave of 2 hrs is being granted in month. counselling has been done written and verbal requests/ instructions/ memo has been issued ...but still not much improvement. can anyone guide the right policy on late coming to enable us to improve attendance & discipline. regards sheetal
Late coming..need help urgent
Respected seniors i am working in a it firm. as it happens in many of the companies we are also facing the late coming problem. our office time is from 10 am to 7 pm. however almost all except the ladies employees stay late till 8:30 pm and sometimes even 9 pm. however myself being the hr the management is asking me to make the employees come on time because generally they use to reach office by 10:15 am and sometimes even by 10:30 am. when i asked them to come on time they anwered we stay late and if you want us to come on time you need to allow us to go on time that is 7pm. seniors i will be very grateful if you kindly provide me some ideas to tackle this problem. i have got stucked in between management and the employees. thanks and regards priyanky
Late coming - management feels we should introduce a system of penalties
Dear friendswe are an organisation with a strength of around 150 employees. we have installled a time machine in our office yet the employees keep on coming late. the office time is from 9 to 6 but most employees turn up by 9:30 9:45. frequent warnings have not brought about any impact on the employees. the mgt. feels we should introduce a system of penalties pay cuts etc. for late comings. the organsiations does not have any ir problems as such. most of the employees leave the organisation only around 7:00 7:30 and stay up late to complete their work without having to be told so. yet the mgt. feels this should not be considered an excuse for late coming. i understand the mgt s problem but at the same time the employees feel that when they r putting up late hrs as per the urgency of work then mgt s decision is harsh. how do i balance both employees and employer views.regards tittli
Attendance, late mark, leave deduction - pl.clarify
Please answer following query. office time : 9 am to 7pm. late mark : after 9.30 am. now some employees come after 9.30 am and works upto 8 or 9 pm. shall i deduct for late coming or cancel ignore their late coming?
How to inform late commers???
If employees are coming late and if we want to take action against them like issue them show cause notice but before that we want them to know that you are coming late and try to be punctual so how can we do that? should we do that verbally or should we send some kind of information letter? if letter is to be issued then what should be the subject of the letter? please give your suggestions on it thank you. regards fahd khan sherani
