Hello the management expert,

I am new at this platform would like to share a serious problem here about my future.

Just a 7 month back I have been hired by service industry in hr field. I have completed M.P.M and joined the organization happily by thinking that “yes, I got the opportunity in the area where I want to be:.

But my happiness could not go longer because after a six month I am still fresher. My HR manager dint give chance to learn new things and to prove myself in this challenging gamut hr field. I asked him that I am idle give me some responsibility but always he reply that our organization is not so big we don’t have so many workload and don’t worry I will give u in future; I have been asking him since last 6 month but still no positive response. If they don’t have workload then why they hired me. I am just frustrated and

disappointed with this and scared about my future when I think about it.

Now I am planning to change but what would be my market value. When recruiter see my resume what will be his reaction upon my job in previous industry. I am afraid that will I be treated as a fresher? Do I have to start afresh? I am just confused.

Can leave the job? Because I do nothing and only fill the attendance of mine.

Apart from this I myself tried to learn HR Activity and I somewhat succeed in learning about practical things.

But I am not satisfied about it.

Please ,please please replyllllllllllllllll

Hello the FRUSTRATION EXPERT.......
Did i address you wrongly..........If i did, i apologize. Well anyways, considering your situation i feel that you are lucky enough to draw salary without doing nothing. Besides you got an opportunity to learn something, which is indeed better than being idle.
You can still learn the whole process by watching your manager's activities. Try to learn, to become a good observer and develop good patience levels. Study and understand the PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM/PROCESS, TIME & ATTENDANCE, COMPANY POLICIES, RECRUITMENT PROCESS, LABOUR LAWS, PF/ESI and lot more.
I would recommend you not to leave your current employer unless you add ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE to your profile.
There is nothing more to write. Don't take decisions without analyzing the fact or in angry mood.
Good Luck..
With profound regards

You are paid na, if yes then complete a year then look for the good opprunity and make a more, in between start for searching if you got the good opprunity then make amove. you can also learn your HR for your seniors and friend and also by observing your seniors.
you are still young in this field , when your are temparory upset do not make such decision which will cause great harm, been patience is also a skill of HR but definity look for opprunities. if you leave your job and then go for negotation for new job you will loss your negotataion power.

Hi Ganesh,
Most of us go through this phase at some point of time in our career.
As mentioned by Shaik, use this time to improvise your HR knowledge. Understand different functions in your organization, how it works, what are plus & minus, etc
Be proactive, see in which area you can support your manager and express your interest with facts. Don’t wait for responsibilities to come your way… You need to create it...
As your name says, just be cool, give your best, Things will fall in place.
Best Wishes,
Shylaja

Hi Readers & Ganesh !
I completely agree with Mr Kadir .. He exactly said what I was going to suggest .. and also other members who have aptly contributed to this query, all are advising the same thing. So Dear Ganesh .. dont worry be happy .. !
You have got a golden opportunity to learn on your own, dont wait to be instructed, explore your opportunities. And chillax .. Read some good stuff .. learn some new skills .. perhaps Experiment with MS Excel !! ..
Understand the company .. structure.. people, business line .. Understand the company as a whole unit .. think like a CEO (Dont act it out :-D )
Dont confine yourself " Im HR why why should I do something else" mentality. be open to ideas, think out of box to pass your time productively.
Search for other opportunities, network, make friends, and enjoy life .. and be thankful to almighty god !! .. dont whine !! ...

i really thankful all of you for your prompt response and also for your valuable suggestions.
but one more thing that i forgot to write earlier that they offer me appointment letter after 3 month and in which my designation is not relevant to my education or field i.e.hr.
in clear language my education is relevant to HR Field but designation is different. i think it will spoil my future and of course it reduce my market value.
while interview it was clear that i will be appointed as hr trainee for the first 6 month but they offer me different designation and not giving any work releted to hr field.
thats why i want your suggestion.
