Hi all seniors
I would like to seek your advise. In my case, the vacancy was advertised before revision of pay-scales for post of Asstt. Manager i.e. in the unrevised pay-scale of Rs.10750-16750 IDA. But by the time interview/selection took place, the pay-scales got revised as under:-
Desi. & Sacle(UNREVISED) Desi. & Scale (REVISED)
(a) Asstt Mgr(10750-16750) TO Dy Manager(20600-46500)
(b) Mgt.Trainee(8600-14600) TO Asstt. Mgr. (16400-40500)
Now, at the time of appointment, I was offered post of Asstt Manager(16400-40500) i.e. revised pay-scale of Mgt. Trainee(Rs.8600-14600) and not revised scale of Asstt. Mgr.
Please guide me further course of action, please.
Thanks & regards,

Hi,
I believe you are indicating about a public sector employment where such scales do exist still.
The scale refers to the basic pay being offered.
Kindly be clear in your mind that the Management trainee to Assistant Manager pay-scale revision, it has not been mentioned that what level of the grade you would be offered at.
There would be assistant Managers at 16400 basic and there would be Assistant manager at 40500/- pm.
here the said public sector has upgraded the salaries of management trainee which was earlier the entry level and placed the entry level salaries at that of an Assistant Managers.
So a maximum of one scale may be the minimum of the other. Let us say the maximum of a supervisor grade is INR.20000/- Where as this could be the minimum of the next level of officer/ foreman.
Hence there is nothing to be done and complete the management trainee-ship and see at what level you get confirmed after your probation.
Kind regards
