Gazetted/Restricted Holidays....Please advice

indrani_ibs Started The Discussion:

Dear All,
Greetings!
Can you please advice as to how many gazetted/restricted holidays should be there in an organization apart from national holidays. Also please let me know which days should be considered as gazetted holidays. Moreover I know that it varies from state to state. Our office is located at Delhi,Mumbai,Chennai,Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Please provide me guidance on this aspect ASAP as I urgently need to prepare a draft policy in this regard.

Hi,

It depends on Policies too. We have a policy that if Earned Leaves(EL) are to be considered, then National Holidays/ weekly offs won't be considered as a part of earned leaves. The deduction will be only of the working days.

Hi,
As far as my knowledge is concern the gazatted holiday should be 10-12 in a year and it will be extended to all employeess of the concern and ristricted holiday should be 3-4 and only 2-3 days should be granted to all employees.
thanks & regards,
Sumit
