Hi All,
Am looking for the abstracts for the Labor laws for a IT firm. I am yet not sure that the laws for the IT firms & manufacturing units are same?
I went through one of the old forum related to the Labour laws abstracts which are to be compulsorily posted in the firm. Cannot drop down the link as am a new member. It's an old forum of the same site.
Any information or help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Dear Mr. Bhasker,
That was so nice of you for being that prompt. I would certainly go through it. Also, I wanted something in the abstract form of this act which can be displayed in the company's premises, as per the guidelines of the laws.
Regards,
Axita

Dear Axita,
IT firms are covered under the provisions of Bombay shops and establishments act.
I have attached two documents, though its not comprehensive as you require however it can give succinct idea what to put on the board.
Best regards,

Dear Axita
You can approach any law book shop or any stationery shop near the Labour Commissioner office of your district. They will be having the complete set of your required abstracts. Here you have to display Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Child labour abolition Act, Payment of Gratuity Act. Any other requirement will be informed to you by the shopkeeper himself. Because they are the person procuring & selling all the things as per the requirement of the Labour Commisioner Office.
All the best

  • You need not have to make Abstract of any ACT.
  • Ready-made Abstract is available in the 'Bare ACT & Rules'. Get the book, remove / photocopy extract from the book and display.
  • Abstracts alone are also available in shops selling legal forms and formats. Buy them and display.

Factories Act is not applicable to IT / non-manufacturing industry. Act applicable to IT industry is Shops & Establishments Act.
