Hi Amit,
What Mr.Ullanat said is correct , as per law 15 days PL is to given to employees who have completed 240 working days.
But Organizations generally kept CL/SL for employee Convienience as per their own policies.
Mostly i have 8 CL- 7SL- 15 PL. as common following

Dear Amit Ji,
Your present company is following ideal HR policy. I have no comments for your former employer who was giving less leave to the employees. Forget the past and make your HR in the present company more progressive.

Hi Amit,

As per the Act, you can a avail PL/EL of 15 days in a year. This is calculated based on for every 20 working days u can avail 1 PL & this are adjusted for every employee one who completes 1yr with the organization & also he/she should work for atleast 240 days in their previos yr, where as for new comers it may not effect. In a consecutive we can avail 5PL's

Sick leave can be given if there is no ESIC coverage for employees such as above 15k salary holders only. This is upto the management how they assign. In our organization we have 10SL's for employees. In a consecutive we can avail 2SL's, if any employee who takes morethan 3SL's then they should provide the Doctors Certificate.

Casual leaves can be allotted as per managements wish. In our organization we have 9CL's for all employees. In a consecutive we can avail 3CL's

The leave Policy may not be standard & differs from company to company.

There wont be any policy region wise such as State wise or Company wise. Mostly all the company follows same leaves structure.
