Pay on notice period during probation
Hi i m an hrexec working for a "x" company. i ve been working here for the fast 4 months. i m still on my probation period. now i have put my resignation like few days back. with so many arguments with my boss i agreed to serve 15 days of notice period as per my appointment letter. but in it there is no where mentioned that i will be paid for the number of days i serve my notice period. here it is obvious i will loose my pay for that 15 days. please tell me if it is compulsory for an employer to pay me on my notice period even though i m on probation period. he is threatning that i should pay if i fail to serve my notice period. kindly advice. thanks.
No confirmation letter after probation - notice period duration confusion
Hi i have joined a company in 4 july on a probation of 3 month after the probation period but not confirmed communication in written i want to leave the company. in probation period notice period is 45 days on conformation notice period is 2 months. employer said to serve 2 month notice period after not accepting i didn t go for 3 days and they sent me a legal notice from lawyer to serve 2 month notice period or pay 2 month salary please help me what conditions are applied on me?
Leaving without serving notice period
I joined a reputed airine company based in gurgaon in december 2010 and was under probation for 6 months. i must put this forward that it was the worst company to work for. while i was under probation i quit the company by serving 1 day notice. as per my offer letter it is written that if an employee is leaving an organization with probation period than he or she has to serve a notice period. if a confirmed employee leaves the organization than he has to serve a notice period for 3 months or pay salary in lieu of that. as i left the company while under probation without serving any notice period then my question is can a company sue me for this? i did receive a letter to pay the settlement amount but its nowhere written in my offer letter that i have to pay a one month salary if i am under probation. then how a company can sue an employee when there is no written document which says that the employee needs to pay a one month salary if he leaves without service notice period under pro
Relieving without notice in probation period
Hi i have resigned from a organization in probation period without giving notice period. i wrote thrice about my resignation and requested them for acceptance. i was ready to pay in lieu of the notice period. my question is whether it is mandate to serve the notice period when you are willing to pay in lieu of the notice period. the company is not providing me the acceptance and relieving letter and forcing me to serve the notice period. please advice whether any legal action can be taken as per labour laws? thanks

Hi i have been working with a mnc bank for last 10 months but had to leave the organisation without serving notice period due to severe health issues. while working there i was not given any letter regarding confirmation after completion of probation period. i have sent my resignation on which the company has sent me a letter asking me to pay an amount which is far more than even 3 months take home salary. the contract says that the notice period after completion of probation is 3 months while when on probation it is 1 month or payment in lieu of such notice period the organisation has rule that people joining on and after particular date will be deemed to be confirmed. i have joined just 2 days before that date so i do not fall under this scheme. so in such a scenario can they ask me to pay such a heavy amount.

Respected senior kindly update me whether there is any law in regards of notice period in probation period. is employer has to serve equal notice if employee is in notice period. for ex. if employer mentioned in his appointment letter one month notice period employee has to serve in the probation period do employer also has to pay 1 month salary if he terminate the employee with in probation period. looking for response at earliest. thanks ruchi
