hello seniors,
i have got a assignment on competency mapping, for which i need your help.

There are 8 types of competency models, namely
1. organizational competency based competency model
2. commitment & competency based competency model
3. 5-level competency model
4. job based competency model
5. generic & specific competency model
6. managerial, behavioral, & functional competency model
7. organizational goal linked competency model
8. technical & behavioral competency model.

compare and contrast the above model and recommend which model is best suited for your organization and why?

Please experts and seniors help me with this...

yes, the question is of a course, that m persuing from HRDC, new delhi.
its a certificate course in competency mapping ( distance learning mode). the course is of 3 months.
right now i am just a fresh grad from DU, so cant say to which org ill apply the concepts to...
but i need help to finish this assignment. plz ppl help me. i have to submit it by mid august!

It appears that the student has no experience and is expecting someone to answer with respect to any organisation. I am loath to help such students; I have taught on undergraduate and MBAs for over 20 years.

yes I am a student with no job experience, but i definitely do not expect any one to make an assignment for me.
all i am asking for is some help, as in some guidance from my seniors in this field.
as a new comer i am facing problem to complete my project and i do not feel that i have done something wrong to hurt you so much.
but any way thank you so much!!

Dear Deepti,

You may be a new comer, but I expect you to frame the question properly. I have asked you what organisation have you in mind? You should concentrate on some organisation. For large organisations, different models may be more suited in different departments, You have not hurt me at all.
