Hi Kavitha,
Reg the meaning of Training and Development:
Training is any activity leading to a skilled behavior. Training is always a current activity. Development, on the other hand, is preparing for future. Development generally means act of improving something in stages. The improvement may be accomplished by expanding or enlarging or refining the already present skillsets / behaviors.
Say, you are trained in pottery. You learn how a specific skill to use clay and mould pots. With practice, you develop skills to create better and advanced and maybe artistic pottery.
Hope I have been able to clarify the same. Please do provide feedback.
Thanks and regards,
Reema

Hi,
All seniors have given good ideas and material for conducting induction programme.
However, I feel that one can always add 'the fun factor' to the induction programme to make the atmosphere light..new joinees are normally tense and closed when they step in a different atmosphere. Hence, we can start the programme formally but can add some fun factor by conducting 2-3 fun filled ice breaker games which will allow the new joinees to be comfortable and also to know each other. Hope you all agree with it.
