Respected Seniors,
Just wanted to know if you could guide me regarding my query, i.e. Nowadays so many HR Generalist short-term distance courses/ Training programs are being offered, which claim to provide hand on experience regarding the HR generalist profile and also promise to get you placed as HR Generalist in good companies.
I also got such an offer but before joining i am just wondering whether they are really of any use or not. All you respected seniors are having practical experience into the industry so could you please guide me regarding this so that it doesn't turn out to be a waste of time & money.

Hello Binita , These courses give rough idea about a generalist role. But there is NO short cut .One has to take practical experience . Practical experience has NO alternative . Regards Rajeev Dixit

Dear Binita,
Thats what these courses will help you in getting the rough idea.
But for becoming a generalist you should be aware of all the aspects
of HR .Right from recruitment to full and final settlement .
I suggest you to start by joining some small scale manufacturing unit
get the overall experience and then jump ahead.
