Dear Seniors,

I am working with a service industry as on administration post. The working environment here is totally frustrated.
They given me here more responsibility rather than my administration, they wanted to all work should be carried by me, right now I am handling the admin.Accounting, HR ,front desk, secretarial and so on...

The accountant here in the office, I don't know wht that person having the problem with me. He complain about me to my senor person even if I am doing my job well.He himself sometimes change filing materials and then ask for it to me.

If I am unable to find it out he orders to reopen the all older files and rearrange it. This kind of behavior is not only towards me but also with some other two peoples as we are junior here by age and by experienced.

There is no proper lunch time for ours even do lunch and immediate get back to the work, not allow to go outside the office not to talk with other office employees.
I am so much frustrated here. As I already decided that this is my last month to work with this co. but it's also unable me to wait for end of this month ,because of his behavior. every day he come up with new strategy to tease us, nd we can't do anything. even we can not take action against him as our senior person are supportive to him.
He has more belief on him rather than all of us as he in oder and within his community.

Even the monthly salary should be on 1st of month but he make cheques of our name on 5th and give to us on 10th. why people behave like this I don't understand??. even the calculations on cheq sometimes wrong..he makes himself salary on time.

because of my financial constraint I am working here but I can not bear it more than this it's affect to my health, mind.
Dear professionals plz give some solution over it. Even if I leave this, the girl who newly joined on my post will be defiantly harassed by this.

Plz help me out.....
It's a continuous problem.....PLz PLZ....

Hi Suchita

Its sad and unfortunate the situation you are enduring in your office. There are people like that “account guy” you mention in your post, you have to learn to deal with such nasty elements, as you may find many such in your career and on your way of life. Be strong and learn to work around this situations,

Focus on your job responsibilities, KRAs and learning involved in your work. Its famously said- “ love your job, not your company”

Keep your reports, up to date and always maintain a separate set of records you submit for your personal reference, in case any discrepancy is raised you can refer to your work.

Trust no one verbally in the office, when it comes to formal and official communication, always maintain communication on paper, like on mail or in writing.

Maintain your calm composure during times when you are teased, irritated or provoked over anything, remember some people are of sadist nature, they enjoy the reactions from people when troubled.

Always remember no one can insult you, without your permission, your calm composure in stressful times will present you very matured and strong, this will irritate the trouble maker.

Always maintain records and communication systematically, you can inform higher authorities of the mistakes in accounting or payroll or any matter affecting your employment, and present it in a professional, neutral and complete way, without letting any personal anguish, frustration or ego.

Summarize and present your work and its value to the management, decision makers etc.

If its still too toxic to work, be patient, be calm and seek another opportunity, however, do not carry forward any grudge, bad memories or opinions to new workplace.

Do not discuss any negative experiences you faced in the company during interviews with prospective employers.

Calm down and enjoy life.

Dea Suchitra,
Firstly , give him a chance and ask why he is doing so, in case he reverts in a decent way and replies that he is irritated or wants to tease you(if he confess) ,then ask him not to do that and ask him to stop it immediately.
Make it a short conversation and dont talk to him much .
In second case he doesn't replies to you and behaves in the same way , then you do one thing , find out who is the management ? and put it directly to them.Dont get scared and if u r talented u will get a job may be far or lil less salary or may be better one but be confident you will get one But do not tolerate such a thing.
In third case give me your managements number and who the senior authority there.I will make sure things will be communicated to him nicely.
Certainly this is not a better place to work , but someone else will suffer the same problem if you will leave so
Make a proper complaint regarding that.

HI Kedar
Hilarious !! ..That was truly a funny reality .. but why management, its life and our unlimited desires which is driving us crazy. always running behind the elusive carrot (Wealth, Car, House, Foreign Vacation etc etc )
there is famous saying : "Aagah Apni Maut se Koi Bashar Nahi... Samaan hai So Baras ka Pal ki Khabar Nahi"
And the poem is very inspiring and self assuring too.
Best Wishes
