Dear Manisha,
Greetings for the day,
As you said that your wages incresed to Rs. 15000/ from 01/2011 this seems that you are still in esic cealing to get the exemption your salary should be above than Rs.15000/- i.e Rs.15050/- or Rs.15100/-. Secondly the deduction of esic applicable to you upto the contribution period which ended on 31-03-2011.
Thanks & Regards,

As per my knowledge, though your salary has been increased beyond ESIC limit in the month of January, the company has to deduct and pay the contribution up to 31st March 2011. Further, you will be covered for next six months.

hi grettapl,
Contribution period is (a) 1st April to 30th September (first half) & (b) 1st October till 31st March.
The corresponding benefit period is (a) following 1st July to 31st December (b) following 1st January to 30th June.
Thus, ‘Benefit period’ starts three months after the ‘contribution period’ are over.
for more information plz go through the Act
regards
Rajvir
