Was involved in a discussion with one of my close friends on a dilemma he was caught up in.
He is a person who believes in working faithfully for a Company and leaves only if he feels that there is nothing going forward or him anylonger. Reason why he has been not less than three years in any Company that he has worked with. Longest being seven years.
He has just joined a Company (from a completely diferent industry) couple of months back and is enjoying the learning that he is getting there. But, suddenly he gets a call from another Company which is in an industry similar to what he was till couple of months back and on top of that it is a big name.
He is confused on what his next step should be. His mind says to take the new job, but his heart says not to let down the existing Company that is taking care of him well, giving him continuous learning and also has been of help to him personally.
What should my advise to him be, to get him out of this dilemma?
Rgds.

Hi VRK,
I do not think he should leave, unless there is any strong reason to shift from this job, which as per your post is not there.
Big name or small name does not matter if the person is satisfied with the job, ask your to be loyal.
The answer is already there in your posts, dear...so make a choice and be content.

Dear Mr. Ramesh
Dileemma is a state if mind where one's thoughts gets freeze as he is confused with many options. There is a way out to get out of such situation by seeking advice from experts/seniors with practical experience about LIFE.

I do agree with Ms. Archna and suggest your friend not to get attracted towards anything whatever is beautiful.....ITS purely "ILLUSION".

Remember always "BIG NAME" can be referred to "RESPONSIBILITIES COMES WITH POWER". If your friend wants BIG NAME then he will end up in many issues(more responsibilities) which he needs to address, he may not find "Peaceful Ambiance" which he is experiencing now and ofcourse "BIG NAME" may also give him "BIG MONEY" and then he will end up in playing a "BIG GAME" ......end results, no one is aware of it because, only TIME can define it...

Please visualize future before you take any decision. Our brain is capable of differentiating between GOOD and BAD, SAFE and UNSAFE PRACTICES and lot more....

Almighty will bless us more if we should try to be happy with whatever we possess today and keep thanking him always for everything he gave us. I don't want to use this word "GREEDY" but it is what making us run after MONEY, SUCCESS etc.......as we are not able to SATISFY OURSELVES..

With profound regards

Hi VRK,

I knew few of my friends who hold mutiple offers in hand and stay in a state of dilemma to choose the best among them. For few CTC matters, for few job nature matters, for few brand name matters etc. and based on what they actually want they choose the company. Likewise ask your friend to arrive on a strong reason on why to quit the current company. He will find the answer by himself i.e either to quit and accept the offer or to continue with the same company. As far as am concerned job satisfaction is the key thing in any job that we take, without which we cannot move forward. Big names/ Brand doesn't guarentee the same. Upon that its seem to be only few months that he had joined this company. So, i would suggest him to continue with the same company instead of too many switchings.

Dear
Opportunities knock the door once in a lifespan of time, but advises knocks at every step of a person so, ask your friend whether he need big company, big name and big responsibilities to learn more in life or to satisfy with small job, and responsibilities saying that i did best to my company and atlast blaming ourself my company has not given me any thing even a Good PF at the time of retirement,
Come on Boss Go,, get up,, where u r,,, if u want to achieve do some thing new in life,,,,
Try to live and swim in ocean where Life is big,, when u want to leave u should hunt others then only u can win,,where u can see the world,,, but not in the ponds where swams swims cooly and thinks his life is beautiful,,,,
cheeersssssss

Dear all........
Giving ADVICE is an EASY JOB but PRAGMATIC LIFE is totally different and unique.......
Let me put in this........there are many who are self motivators especially couples had supported such views....."What a horrible life is this...why should we trouble ourselves and others as well.....lets commit suicide and get ourselves relieved forever........" but one doesn't know how difficult to get relieved his soul from his body because he doesn't have such kind of experience in life.......there are people who lived more than one life........thats totally different.......
Allow him to experience his fate....let him choose his own destiny for which he shall be held responsible for everything which he had chosen...
Everyone is unique in this world and everyone has its own limitations, preferences, commitments, capabilities, abilities and lot more.. As a BEHAVIOUR SPECIALIST, this is what i had practically learned in my life......
With profound regards....
