How many employees required to start canteen and what are all the thing to follow with government for registration ect.
In canteen we need to provide any cold water if yes then how many employees required to give cold water facility.
As per the factories act 1948, canteen to be provided if more than 250 workers ordinarily employed and as per my knowledge to start a canteen you need to get license/permission from food inspector, registration certificate from Muncipalty/S&E act and to be notified to the office of factory inspector.
If in a facotry more than 250 workers ordinarily employed then one water centre for every 150 workers or part of upto the first 450 and one for every 450 workers or part thereof thereafter.
