Dear All,
We are in to pharmaceutical support services (retail and wholesale) and we have branches across India, we have branch in Delhi too,

We are under the processes of registering shop and establishment for newly opened branches and need clarity whether Delhi will be covered under shop & establishment or not. Some of them say earlier it was exempted and now it needs to be registered.

So please help me in clarifying the same for further processes.

Looking forward for all your support and positive response

Dear Deepak S,
From Nov., 2009 it is again made compulsory to get establishment registered under Delhi Shops & Establishment Act. Earlier this provision was kept in abeyance. You are to take registration under the State Shops & Establishment Act for all of your branches.

Thank you Mr.Khola for the quick response, but in this web site (http://www.delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/conn...+Inspectorate/) {updated on May 2010} they have mentioned under the exempted establishment that dealing in drugs retail and wholesale are exempted.
