| Lunar Princess Started The Discussion: Hi, I am withdrawing my PF after 3 years and am required to submit an indemnity bond on Rs 100 stamp paper, basically declaring that I am responsible for this transaction and any consequences thereof. However, I happen to be in Canada and cannot acquire a Rs 100 stamp paper here. I have also been unable to find a Canadian equivalent for stamp-paper. Please advise how I can prepare this indemnity bond. Is it alright if I prepare an affidavit on a plain paper and get it notarized by an attorney (sign and stamp)?
Sir, you prepare the required indemnity bond through any of your friend or lawyer in India in an Indian Non Judicial Stamp Paper and get the same through courier from India. And take the same before the Indian consulate in Canada along with your passport photo and before the authorities in indian consulate (they know the procedure too as they may coming across many like that), you sign the said indemnity bond and the authorities will attest the same with their seal and signature. Again sent it back to your friend or lawyer and they will submit the same before the EPFO authorities herein India. This is the only way you can do. Quote:
