yes! for some companies training and development cost do form a part of CTC. Companies basically define the annual budget they have to spent on employee develpmental programmes and training and depending on the hierarchial level of the employee the training cost is added to CTC

HI,
Employee training cost can be included in CTC on following conditions.
1. If the training is on Technology and done by a exclusive trainer or a Vendor which incurs cost to the organisation.
2. If the organisation provides training which on products or services which is developed and implemented by organisation itself which can be utilized by any other organisation if the employee moves out.
3. If the training is not directly related work like soft skills training or any behavioral training etc that too if the employee is willful in considering it.

Hi all
If the training as per training policy to cover each & every employee for certain days of training is mandatory, then where comes the intent of the employee to participate or not to participate. AS far as special traning progrmames are concerned, I do not know if any organisation allows its employees to participate in such programmes which penalises him as the cost is added to his/her CTC.
I am not fully convinced even if a trg. like softskills is included in CTC. Is it not helping the organisation in the form of improved productivity levels if an employee hones up his/her skills.
Any body to comment please.

Hi,
I do agree with Srinivas. What ever I have mention is pertaining to single employee to improve his personal skills might be added in his CTC. That is the reason I have added with employees will only.

i guess by adding up so many things to ctc ,,,,,,,it will be so very artificially inflated ,,,,,,,man no one can ever get wot is take home ,,,,,,,,,,,,ctc wud become cheat to company

Hi,
I am of the view that the Training Cost should form part of Employment cost or Recruitment Cost if it is incurred at the induction stage. This is the cost expended to ready the employee to perform.
The Training Cost during the course of employment can be grouped under Training & Development Costs .
Even though both the Costs are incurred towards employees , they are not conventionally forming part of Personnel Cost.
CTC ( in Common Parlance) is normally viewed as the Costs incurred for Salary , Perquisites , Amenities ( Canteen, Uniform , etc) and Contributions to Social & Retiral Funds.
Trust I have given a clear Picture of CTC.

Trg cost is a prt of CTC. It is quite ridiculous to hear. Infact IT companies are framing policies as they wish without any huamnity or moral. Even employees are keep on working without any hesitation as they get handfull salary. It will pave the way to unrest of employees in futhrue if it continues.

Training is part of HRD. Whereas HR comes with Development its effect will be for both employee and employer. Trained employee is going to render hsi service with gained new knoweldge. So where the question comes to addt eh expenses of trg in CTC

Another question- If trg cost added in CTC - Trg not provided what will happen?

CTC imples Cost to company per employee on salary part. i.e Basic, HRA other allowances and Bonus.

And adding gratuity in CTC is also cheating employee as gratuity is applicable after completion of five years only. So how gratuity can be added in CTC at the time of joining.

I foresee some kind of revloution in another two decades if this kind of decent cheating goes 0on.
