How to get a hr job - i passed out and with no opportunity i had to take a bpo job to survive
Hi i have done mba in hr and marketing from 2016 batch and currently working as a tl in bpo domain in finance profile. due to no hr jobs when i passed out and with no opportunity i had to take a bpo job to survive it has been almost 6 years now since i have been working. but now i desperately want to switch my career in hr and align my career in it since i do not see much growth now. could anyone please help and guide me to land into a hr job. regards amaan

Respected seniors kindly give me your valuable thoughts to add on my knowledge . i am mba in h.r & marketing passed out in 2012 starting with my career i was looking for an h.r job but in my city job opportunities are not much moreover if there is h.r vacancy that requires experience so inspite of wasting time i joined telecom & worked as asst sales manager for 5 months as it was offroll job i left it & dn i got an opportunity to work as an asst sales manager in mnc. insurance co. bt due to family reasons i have to again leave dt job. as an m.b.a h.r i want to work with an mn.c & see my job life cycle moving upward but problem with me is i am fresher in h.r. whenever i go for an interview prb i face is ; 1 my experience is in sales bt i want to shift in h.r ? my c.v contradicts what i started my careers with & what exactly i want to be. 2. ist job was for 5 months 2nd : 4 months & that leaves a negative impression on recruiters mind. i left my 2nd job in jan 2013 & yet i hvnt got job yet does this gap wl be negatively affecting my career?? moreover i have gone through all the ppt regarding p.f e.s.i.c leave mgt on this site to add on my knowledge but how can i make my c.v more attractive? sd i go for h.r trainning provided by some institutes or i sd start up my career as h.r recruiter? your thoughts advises are highly beneficial as i have experienced it by gng through other cases. thanks & regards tamanna

Applying for a vacancy in the same organization where you are serving notice period
Dear elite members i would like to know if you are entitled to apply for an opportunity in the same organization where you are serving a notice period. in plain words i have resigned and serving notice period 90 days in my current organization abc. now i come to know there is an opportunity available in the same organization and i am also interested in pursuing the same. am i entitled to apply for the job and will the hr consider my candidature? i know you might have questions on why i resigned and am willing to join in the same organization. i was not comfortable in the current role that i perform and hence resigned but the new opportunity looks like a better prospect it might also be a grade lower as well. i am still interested in pursuing this opportunity but i would like to know if there are any rules that can prevent me from applying for that opportunity which is available in the open market. i request you to let me know your varied thoughts and views on the same and provide me some clear guidance. thanks ragav.kutta
Absolute professional harassment
Hello all i believe the issue which i am about to discuss in this post has been faced by most placement consultants at some point of time in their career span. i am new to the recruitment field but i have worked in sales & marketing department at different positions and i understand well the difference between different sales positions. my received one requirement from an it firm. the job position actually was for lead generation executive. but i have to face issue with the same. i linedup a presales consultant for the same...after 4 days of search n call i found a presales candidate. but when i shared the jd with him he denied even for telephonic interview. please download and open the attached file. this is the requirement doc i received from the company. now i feel that knowingly the company hr has made it ambiguous. i feel knowingly the hr has put different types of sales position keywords like 'business development executive' 'inside sales' 'presales' in the requirement doc to collect resumes for all sales department s positions for future use. ...and look at the title of the doc it is 'marketing executive' i.e. another position in sales department. i am feeling harassed professionally being industry senior what are your comments on attached doc.
