Since 1989, the Registration under Delhi Shops and Establishment Act, 1954 was kept in abeyance. Now let me know whether the Registration under Delhi Shops and Establishment Act, 1954 has now been mandatory .

Yes,you are right the registration under the Delhi Shops & Establishments Act,1954 was temporarily kept in abeyance as per press report published in Hindustan Times dated 4.1.1990 but it has been now made compulsory w.e.f 13.11.2009.
A public notice issued by the labour Dept. is attached for your information.
