Esic applicabilityDear sir i am working as officerhr & admin i have one query my establishment is cover under esic we have engaged 14 contractor but company paid esic charges only for 3 contractors workmen because every contractors having strength over 20 but remaining 11 contractors have less than 20 contract workers in each any day so my question is that it is necessary to take esic code to every contractor or can employer paid esic challan on behalf contractor under his esic code another questoin is that remaining 11 contractors not completed their 20 contract labour in each any day so it is necessory to paid esic charges or who is the responsible for that employer or contractor can employer deduct their esic contribution from and submitt charges on behalf contractor whoes contractor is complete his strength of employee 20 or more. regards santosh harshe Esi on labour chargesHi all as esi has started with online system generated challan payment. we are facing one problem. in our company what we do is hire contractor for carpentry work call for repair work etc on which labour charges are charged. as such we used to deduct 6.5 esic on labour charges and pay to esic monthly showing it as others. but since it is become online and one challan is to be used. can any one tell me now how do we pay this amount through system generated challan? thanks & regards shivani Esic deduction for temporary contractorHello every one my question is about esic deduction it is compulsory to deduct esic from temporary labour contractor invoice who is give his service on labour charges and company submitting omitted wages challan to the esic but contractor employee cant get any benefit for the same due to that contractor denial to pay esic. which practice is best ? please advise Pf & esic for the temp staffDear colleagues is it necessary to deduct the pf & esic of the temp staff. for eg we have some labours at our ware house & monthly we are paying them rs 4000/ as per the min wages act and over time charges. is it necessary to deduct their pf & esic from their salary in delhi? regards himanshu
