Dear All,
Cite HR is a great site having tons of knowledge for all HR professionals. I appreciate all the professionals who come here to seek answers to their query and those who are of great help to them by solving their query.
Unfortunately I have observed several times that users send a reply to the post saying “Contact me I will forward you the details” or “Please send me the details in email…….”
Here the chain starts ……………. Why do we need to impart the knowledge to any specific person?
I would like to suggest that if the query posted is for all the users to view then we should upload the data/ attachments also for all users to view.
I sincerely sugguest all the HR professionals to please upload the data so that it can be shared by all unless, it is very heavy data even after compressing it by winzip.
Let the knowledge be communicated to all !!!!
Best Regards,
Tina

Thanks Tina,
Dear All, I too have felt the same couple of times.
I suggest all professionals to share the data/information on the foum else it does not suffice the reason being members.

The same request has been made to the members by me couple of weeks back...but in vain, still some are asking for e-mail ids rather than uploading directly in the topic... its a pity Regards, Roopa

Dear Amar,
Yes if the file is already uploaded and despite of re-uploading, users are not able to get through the file then the ideal way is to ask for the file to be sent at our personal mail. But thats an exception !!!

I dont see anything wrong in asking personal id's since we are professionals and sharing the information.
uploading certainly is a good approach but at times people may feel to contact their peers and ask for id's. This site though contains wealth of information does not pave way for contacts which is also essential.
We cannot be behind the bushes and observe things we need to interact and people who are within a city could make to gather for a cup of tea and this is absolutely required. Personal id's are not bad

There is nothing wrong in personal ID. Appreciate all the post remains in Cite HR for a long time ……. Possibility a user may need to retrieve data after 3 to 6 months or more?
He cannot send a message or give his ID and even if he does! Very less chances for us to retrieve the data, how could we remember what was mailed 6 months ago? Moreover I have faced several situations when I have given my email ID (in recent post) and not always have I received the reply. When the information is required urgent, we may still have to encounter delays.
Here we are mainly discussing about imparting knowledge to all users …….
Agreed to exceptions! but I still vote for sharing maximum information on forum to all users for the benefit of our community.
Best Regards,
Tina

Dear Cite HR member,
I fully agree with this email and had already written before about the danger of chain mails. It is always best to publish information without any holds to it. Knowledge is to be shared.
Best wishes,
