Format for a technical/aptitude test
Hi i need some help with regard to a technical or aptitude test used in organizations which can be used for hiring purposes for candidates having less than 3 years of experience. incase if i create some inhouse test for this purpose what would be the reliablity and validity of using such a tool. moreover do organizations create such technical or aptitude tests or procure some standardized instrument becuz most of the organizations in software or bpo have some kind of aptitude/technical test a sample test would be of quite utility coz i undertsand the parameters on which it is to be based upon but do not fully understand how to create it. looking forward for some real help. am quite in desperation. thank you regards pragati

Dear friends how are you doing i am working with bpo we all are facing problem of recession.we would like to conduct a english test & aptitude test of existent employees & candidates also. in english test i would like to share weather they are able to understand english properly or not. at least they can solve customer query or not. in aptitude test i would like to give different situations.if this situation arise how will you solve customer query?if personal work or festival will be there you have to work at office.what will you do?we want dedicated person in our office.if anyone is having other ideas.they can share. if anyone is having any this type of test.it will be great honor for me. pl.help many thanks mili
Aptitude vs ability
Dear all i wanted to know how much of aptitude & ability test is important for promotion or for selection. now that theses tests have become integral part of any selection process. what i felt is an aptitude test requires a lot of practice and a good guy might loose out in the bargain. is it fair on our part to assess the candidates on aptitude which would comprise of verbal ability numerical ability reasoning etc. can just a subject matter test suffice. would be grateful if i can have some really good feedbacks. regards varsha
