Increasing productivity
Dear all i am working with an it solutions company where we have 6 days working.now i have been asked to redesign hr policiesi want to ask that reducing 6 days working to 5 days working will really help? will it increase productivity as per my discussions with our employees most of them are not happy working on saturdays.so if we reduce it to 5 days working will it help or it will have adverse effects please reply thanks and regards archana
Formula for calculating deduction of salary for leaves taken
Hi all i m working in a mnc with 5 days working. in our organization if any employee takes leave in a month and if leave is unpaid then the amount for his leave deduction is calculated on the basis of number of working days instead of number of days i.e. 30 or 31 days. since it is 5 days working so the number of working days comes to 22 days and in case in any month there is any holiday then accordingly the number of working days are further reduced. hence in this case the amount deducted for the leave taken is huge amount which is a concern for employee. is there any rule for such calculation? can anyone guide me in this matter. thanks and regards simple bajaj
Working days as per labour law
Dear seniors i would like to have a favour from you in sharing some of your knowledge to us. as per labour law there should be 26 working days. in months where there are 31 days and if the no. of sunday is 4 then the working days become 27. can we show 27 days in the salary/ wages salary? again in a month of 30 days if there are 5 sundays the total working days become 25. is it ok to show 25 days? your valuable reply is awaited. thank you for your help. regards j p das

Any std no of days in a month for salary calculation?
I am working in an it company with a strength of 50 approx. do companies follow a std no. of working days while calculating salary? mostly salaries are calculated based on the formula: monthly grossno. of days present/26 generally 26 working days are considered. but then is it 26 working days for 31 days month & 25 for 30 days month what about feb? and also what about national holidays? all your comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated. regards manidipa hr manager
